Maps - want to send someone directions ?
You might find the following free service offered by 'Multimap' useful. 

 
First find the location using the links at the end of the page
When you click on one of the following links you will go to a map on the 'Multimap' website. You can use your mouse left button to 'centre and zoom' on your location.

 
Then copy the URL or Web address displayed in your browser
The URL or web address displayed in your browser contains the information to display the map the way your are looking at it. It will look something like this...

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?scale=1000000&X=400000...

 
 
Then send the link in an email to the person you want to see your map.

You can also post this link into the musician's classifieds sections on this site.
Be careful that you get the whole web address its usually long !

If you first zoom in and centre on your location before you copy the web address/URL (it changes as you zoom ) then the person you are sending it to also starts off zoomed in and centred on your location, they can then zoom back out if they wish.

You can print out the map for personal use only - remember to hit the "printer friendly" button first! 'Multimap allow' you to send links to their maps but not copy the map graphics which are copyrighted.
