THE PURPLES

28th / 29th April 2001

Suffolk started the shooting year with a good turnout of 14 people heading for Bisley for the traditional Purples weekend. Shooting began on the Saturday with a friendly warm-up match in strong winds against London and Hertfordshire. It was supposed to be over four ranges, but a prolonged downpour at 1000 yards prompted some swift rethinking and a hasty retreat.
