A keen six of us turned out at Bisley for a long range practice in the morning, the rest joining in time for the eastern region heat of the King George V Cup in the afternoon. Conditions were good with the threatened rain holding off and light but variable winds.

This was a disappointing result on a day when none of the teams shot particularly well.
The best score though was an impressive 148 from Robin Hatcher and best shoot went to Sid Broughton for his near perfect 50.9 at 500 yards.
