The 1878 Definitives

As a consequence of changing postage rates, new values of stamp were required and in 1878 two additional values were introduced. These were the 4d value (the rate for inland postage under half an ounce) and the five shilling value. The stamps were obtained from de la Rue and like the preceding definitive values, were typeset.
