When you join PSC you will be able to take part in
our aerobics and yoga groups, which, since they were set
up, have attracted many new members to the Club. If you
want to tone up gently, vigorously work out, raise your
level of fitness throughout the year, or condition
muscles not used in your main sport, come and use the
full range of the latest cardiovascular equipment in our
recently enlarged Fitness Room. Following your
induction, which includes full explanations and
demonstrations of the equipment and their safe usage,
individual assessment programmes and private, one-to-one
training sessions are available to help tailor your
workouts to your own needs.

YOGA
Concentrating on breathing and body exercises and
meditation, Yoga has been practised in India for over
6,000 years, during which time it has turned from a
rigorous spiritual discipline into a very effective
fitness system. The exercises are designed to keep body
and mind in harmony, which helps to relieve stress and
other depressive illnesses. Yoga is also used to treat
specific conditions such as arthritis.
Yoga also assists in healing and maintenance of good
health, allowing the musculature to both develop and
relax, enabling energy to flow more freely through the
body and mind.

These treatments, which complement the more
strenuous activities at the Club, are becoming
increasingly popular. Our therapist is a member of
BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology).
Non-members are welcome, and there is a discount of
10% for members.
