Sparsely populated areas are excellent news for cyclists - few people means few vehicules with the consequence that there is very little traffic on the network of lanes that cover the area. It is, however, one of the most hilly regions in the country! This means spectacular views across the lovely countryside but little by way of easy cycling.
There are way-marked cycling routes all around the area.
