COMPANY BACKGROUND |
|
With
EURONET
you have the best of both worlds - the flexible, friendly and
reliable service of a smaller company combined with the expertise and ability which
is often only found in larger organisations.
Despite being a relatively young business (February 1999), the owner, Peter Barber, has more than 25 years of experience in translation company management (details can be found elsewhere on the site). |
Picture a Welsh mountain top, about 350 m / 1000 ft above sea level, with 360 degree views of mountains, valleys and the sea, a beautiful panorama which stretches almost 100 km / 60 miles in some directions, a river and waterfalls in the valley below us, a lake to the back of us, and a road with grass down the middle that is travelled by about six vehicles a day. Listen to the sound of sheep and birds (many kites, no pigeons), punctuated by the occasional toot of the miniature steam railway that runs a couple of times a day up the other side of the valley. Drink fresh water from our own spring that has not dried up in the last hundred years, and breathe fresh air that is without the taint of city pollution.
Penrhiwgaer viewed from the other side of the valley
We have a typical Welsh smallholding (small farm) with house, adjacent cottage that we are renovating for use as our office, a comfortable six-berth static caravan to house larger groups of visitors, a set of stables currently used as storage, and all surrounded by about 10 ha / 25 acres of grazing land populated by sheep. Nearest neighbour is about 1 km / 0.6 mile away. Visitors will be welcome - Penrhiwgaer is about 5 km / 3 miles from the A44 trunk road and just 24 km / 15 miles east of Aberystwyth … and around 300 km / 200 miles from London. The house name is shown on the 1:25,000 map, grid reference SN 725 790.
