GENERAL
SAFETY POLICY
This company will ensure at all times that any work
carried out is in strict accordance with the Health and
Safety at Work Act 1974 and the latter legislation
covering EC directives which are as follows:-
(a) Management of Health and Safety at Work 1992.
(b) Work Place Health, Safety and Welfare 1992.
(c) Work Equipment Regulations 1992.
(d) Manual Handling Regulations 1992.
(e) Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992.
(f) Display Screen Work Regulations 1992.
The appointed Safety Officer will carry in depth risk
assessments and will pursue all practical measures to
avoid any risk to company staff, or any other person in
the vicinity of work undertaken.
The company will provide the latest information on any
toxic or potentially hazardous substances used during any
work. This information will be contained in the Site
Information Pack.
It is company policy to limit to a minimum exposure
and where necessary monitor and provide latest
information on the use of substances hazardous to Health.
Management and supervisory staff will at all times
work together to ensure the implementation of this policy
and they will take care to see that Health and Safety
considerations are paramount in the day to day planning
and execution of work.
All employees are aware of this policy and it is their
duty to comply with it and ensure their own work is
carried out without causing risk to themselves or any
other person.
Mr D. Nicholls is our company Safety Officer and any
difficulties that arise with this policy or its
implementation should be address to him. Mr Nicholls will
regularly visit work sites to ensure that the
requirements of this safety policy are carried out to the
full.
