bull.gif (191 bytes) Dragons are mythical beasts but they have formed an important part of folklore. One of our readers, Mr R. Muirhead of 8, Lansdown Road, Studley, B80 7RB, is interested in stories of dragons in Warwickshire and would value any information: please write direct to him and not to the editor.

Although these were of minimal interest for our area, the Lower Arrow Valley, these cards from the late 1940s were happily received by the Stratford Records Office. Such things hardly seem to come under the category of local history: but they do, and it made us wonder how many old programmes from Alcester's cinema are still hanging around - and, for that matter, how many concert programmes from the Corn Exchange, which preceded the cinema, still exist. Readers with such things might care to ensure them a long life by sending them to the editor.
