At the time of writing has begun the clearance of land in Studley known locally as The Vicarage Site. Studley's rambling Victorian vicarage, demolished, to the dismay of many, in 1990, had long been a landmark which dominated the high ground above the village War Memorial on the' road to Alcester.

In its place will be erected a development of 17 dwellings, which will include, incidentally, the refurbishment of the adjacent Vicarage Hall, which was erected, paid for and gifted to the village by Sir William Jaffray Bart. of Skilts, in 1912.

Lost to the village will be a parcel of the Vicarage garden, made available by its then incumbent, the late, and much-respected Rev David Atcheson. Seldom used in recent times, a bronze plaque, displayed at the entrance, and here copied below, explained all. Appreciated by many in its day, who has mourned its passing?
