| This is the last bridge to cross the Arrow
as it traverses our area towards the Avon. Unlike some of the others, it is fairly modern: 1809 in fact. It carries the Evesham - Bidford road over two waterways, the Arrow and the Ban Brook; this latter joins the Arrow south of the bridge. For many centuries the Arrow and Ban were crossed by a ford (hence the name of the village) to the south of the modern bridge |
