Affeerors:
Jurors (e.g. in manor courts) sworn to fix the amount of a fine

Amercement:
Convicted persons (e.g. again in courts leet) liable to a monetary penalty; they were therefore 'amerced'

Infangetheof:
The right of a lord of a manor to try and punish a thief caught in his manor (outfangetheof: right of a lord to pursue a thief outside his manor and bring him back to his own court) These rights were granted by the Crown.

Recognizance:
A recorded pledge to appear at court or pay a debt or to keep the peace.
