The Council for British Archaeology has set aside this day as 'Archaeology Day' and invited local societies to 'do their own thing'. Ever mindful of our responsibilities in these matters the ADLHS has decided to do a tour of some mediaeval moated sites in its area. Therefore, we have booked a coach, which will depart from THE GREIG HALL, ALCESTER at 2 p.m. It will call at Beauchamp Court, Wyke, Studley and Kinwarton. At each point, a few words of explanation on the moated site will be given by the Editor and other interesting features indicated. At Studley, sufficient time will be given to consume any refreshments you may bring.

The cost of coach seats is £3.00 and these will be reserved on a 'first come, first served' basis. Please send your money to the Editor (address Fernecumbe House, King's Coughton, Alcester, B49 5QD) and we will see you at 2 p.m. on the 22nd September. Money will be returned to those who book too late. cheques, please, to ADLHS.
