What is in Subscription Release 14?

A new database schema

The database schema has been upgraded, as a prelude to a major upgrade of the System.

Extended field lengths

Key field lengths for many data types have been increased.

Configuration management

Projects may specify database terms specific to their project, that were previously hard-coded into the system. These terms include name and taxon classes. Both Alice Systems now work with databases of different configurations.

How do I obtain a copy?

Release 14 is free for all Alice subscription holders. Only a single CD is required to upgrade all preceding licences for each edition.

What else do I need?

To instal subscription release 14 you must have an installed version of either Release 11B or 11C or later.
