COTON PARISH COUNCIL
Other parish news
The Parish Council is very
concerned about the continuing nuisance caused by dogs fouling the pathways
and grassed areas round the village. Whitwell Way is particularly
bad and in Silverdale Avenue an elderly lady was hurt when she fell trying
to avoid the mess.
Despite the fact that owners
are allowed to exercise their dogs only round the perimeter of the recreation
ground, the central areas still have to be checked and often cleared of
excrement before a football match can be played.
There is no excuse for this
lack of consideration which leads to a health hazard and possible blindness
in young children playing on the grass. (Cont.)
Please carry a plastic bag
with you when walking your dog and clear up after them. Remember
that, if prosecuted, you can be fined up to £1000.
