An appropriate setting then for one of the country's finest collections of majestic trees at Westonbirt where over 18,000 species from all around the worldoffer a delightful spectacle, particularly in spring and autumn. This is complemented by the extensive natural woodland of Cirencester park, cut through by ten broad rides, the first landscaped park in England. The romantic walled garden of Cerney House stands amoungst wooded grounds and, at Barnsley House, mature trees and shrubs provide a framework for delightful borders in Rosemary Vereys fresh interpretations of the English country garden.
