Concerts 2009
Saturday June 6th at Boxford Parish
Church. "Summer Song and Supper".
Starts 6:30pm and will be followed by
supper. Tickets are £12 (to include supper) and £6 (but you go hungry) and

Saturday June 13th at Monks Eleigh Parish Church in aid of
Monks Eleigh School Community Hall.
Starts 6.30pm. Tickets £10 includes Wine & Buffet. [£4 children] can be
obtained from Angela Ellis (01449 740612) or Alison Russell (01449 740438)
Monks Eleigh School Community Hall, [MESCH]
was set up as a project to undertake the building of a school/community
hall after it was discovered that the present Village Hall was suffering
from concrete cancer, and has a limited life. As the school has no hall,
it was wisely decide to join forces for the building of a new hall. At a
cost of approximately £500,000, this was an extremely daunting task,
but, to date, MESCH has promised funds of £361,000, which is a
marvellous effort. Everybody connected with MESCH is very grateful to
the Hadleigh Choral Society for organising a concert which will not only
help the funds, but will also give an evening of enjoyment to many
people.
Both programmes will be:
- Schubert's Mass in G,
- Purcell's Come ye sons of art,
- Folk songs from the British isles
- a medley of Cole Porter songs
