Beers with Character
A new CAMRA campaign has been launched to show that beers have real personalities.

Cartoons comissioned from Leeds based illustrator Christine Jopling featured on beer mats, posters and pump clips at the National Winter Ales Festival, held at Manchester's New Century Hall in January.

"A over T" (which I am told stands for Aromas over Tongham, not what you and I thought!) from Hogs Back Brewery, Surrey, was named the Supreme Champion Winter Beer of Britain 2006, having won the Barley Wine category.

Winner of the Old Ales & Strong Mild Category was Festival Mild from Gales, Hampshire'
Winner of the Stouts & Porters category was Knoll Street Porter, Bazen's, Salford.
