The Dojo Kun


The Dojo Kun are the eight precepts of training as defined by Eiichi Miyazato Sensei. The adoption and study of these precepts helps us to form a strong, yet flexible and considerate character by emphasising the need to maintain a balance in our lives, and to cultivate health, humility, patience and calmness. They are common-sense guidelines that complement the physical training.

  • Train considering your physical strength
  • Practice earnestly and with creativity
  • Be calm and swift
  • Take care of your health
  • Live a plain life
  • Do not be too proud or modest
  • Continue training with patience
