A whole batch of images from Richmond taken in early Spring. A brief article has been added about Peter Robinson the author of the "Inspector Banks" crime mystery series which is set in and around Richmond and the Dales.

Regional Weather Forecast link added to various section. The links is to www.weather.co.uk which shows the current weather and a forecast for the next ten days. The link replaces a connection to a defunct site. New article added "Catterick dig reveals Roman Transvestites."

Up until now Castle View has been designed to fit a 15 inch monitor (without sideways scrolling), as 17 inch is now the recongised "standard" the home page has been redisigned for 17 inch. Apologies to those with 15 inch monitors who may now need to scroll sideways.
The home page has been completely redesigned and updated. An additional drop down menu has been included providing easier access to newer items. The menus have been extended to provide ready access to the features within Castle View.
A small section with images of Richmond in 1951 has been added (photographs courtesy of Oliver Davis). Images of St. Blaise's chapel in Tuscany, the church of San Biagio, are now included (with the kind permission of Nigel Slater).

River Swale - self inflicted flood? The article considers the damage last year to a major bridge and finds that the cause is more than just a "natural disaster".
