. 'Women, participation
and Democracy in the Information Society'
. This paper was written for a conference supported by Heritage Canada
held in London, Ontario in October, 1999, called Citizens at the Crossroads:
Whose Information Society?. Participants at the conference, despite
having to pay an attendance fee, were required to pay two Canadian dollars
for a copy of each paper. I place the paper free of charge here as
a protest against such practices.
