When considering a Server specification it is important that you consider the safety and security of your data, this can be achieved by including:-

• Data duplication in case of system failure prior to automated backup.

Installation of RAID 1 or 5.

• Installation of tape drives to provide an automated backup of the companies daily processing.
• Anti-virus software to protect against internal / external viruses.

Whilst these provisions will add to the cost, they are less expensive than lost data and wasted time.
