Monday - Sunday: Open visiting but preferred is 3 - 8 pm
In the interests of patient safety 3 visitors are allowed to each bedside. Children are allowed to visit of supervised. Please restrict visits to one hour as it allows patients to rest and receive important nursing and medical care.

When you are admitted you should bring any medication that you are currently taking or a list of their names and doses. On discharge, you may be given different medication and your own will be returned to you.
Temporary safe keeping (up to 12 hours only) of cash and valuables is available in the Department Safe. For longer durations, the General Office in Blackburn Royal Infirmary is recommended. Better still, leave cash and valuables at home.
You may require - soap, flannel, towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, denture pot, sterident, night attire, dressing gown, slippers, 10p and 20p coins for use of the telephone
Both non-smoking. A TV is available in the Day Room. The Quiet Room is available for confidential discussions and prayer. There is a prayer mat and books of Islam. The direction of Mecca is indicated on the ceiling.
A paper delivery service visits twice daily.
The barber visits daily for male patients unable to shave
themselves.
The hospital chaplains visit regularly . They will also attend on
request for all denominations.
A multi-faith Chapel is available 24 hours a day on Level 2.
A video library is available for further information on many
conditions.
A monthly health promotion topic is displayed in the reception
area.
Information is available on charities and organisations that may be
of help to you.
A suggestion box.
A telephone is available for out-going calls only.
