This page is regularly updated with the latest news of the band. Last Update 23 March 2000
What is undoubtedly the best celtic festival in the world is having us back again (what impeccable taste those Breton chappies have). We're there for a week which gives us some time to check out the rest of the acts/opposition. So get out your stripey jerseys and head for Brittanny Aug4 - 13th 2000 and we'll see you there.
We're going to be doing a special wee gig at the place where we rehearse. This is basically to repay the guys there for all their hospitality and to have a party with all friends of the band so if your reading this you must be a friend of the band (!) so you're welcome! It's free - just bring your wee self and join in the fun! You'll find us at the Astor Motel, near Broxburn, West Lothian on Saturday 6th May 9.00pm. Now remember DON'T TELL ANYONE (apart from relatives, close friends, aquaintances, people in the pub, anyone you meet walking down the street, Big Issue vendors...........)
After a lot of discussion we have now decided to market our CD over
the Net. It is becoming more and more obvious that this is the way
forward. At the outset we will simply make the CD available by mail
order with a reputable On-line company but ultimately we will make
the music downloadable. The only job now is to pick the right
company!! If anyone has suggestions (or wants to order the CD in the
meantime) please email us:

Last October (God, I must update this page more often!) saw Avalon
returning to an "old haunt". In the late 80's we played many gigs up
in Aberdeen Uni and a name from that time (hi Chris!) contacted us to
see if we would play up there during the Aberdeen Alternative Music
Festival. We did a gig at the Blue Lamp which is a great venue, to a
small but appreciative crowd and hope to be back there soon.
We're still having no luck with Skagen. This is their 30th
anniversary year and we would almost have gone their for no fee!!
(steady now guys, don't give them ideas!!) but they are still working
their way out of their financial difficulties and there wasn't a
stage for us. If you reading this, Peer, for God sake get us back
before we're too old to make the trip!!!!
The mp3 clips have been doing there stuff judging by the guestbook
comments. I've found that the best way of listening to them is to
have Quicktime 4 installed. This has an mp3 player plug-in which
launches automatically when you download an mp3 file and the quality
is ace.
You'll find the mp3 files on the Discography page
