The farmhouse is found at the end of an unmade country road and as a result there is no traffic (apart from the occasional tractor!). Perched 1,600 feet above sea level, Il Girasole looks down on the countryside stretching southwards towards Ascoli Piceno. Walking on a sunny day is a sheer delight and for the more energetic, there are some excellent walks in the Sibillini Mountains and National Park. The Adriatic coast is a 40 minute drive away.
