Winter 2005/06

Summer 2005

Old roof removed, back wall rebuilt
- new roof trusses made

External walls pointed and new roof going up

Internal walls pointed with lime

Hand-riven chestnut laths

The trench for electrics, the cover for the new
septic tank can be seen on the right

Wet-laid, oak pegged scantle slate roof finished
(it took 2 months!). The insulted floor is now
in place, external walls have been capped
with 2" thick slate and the inside has been
'tanked' in white - awaiting doors and windows
to be made and the electrics to be installed,
then we can move in!

Summer 2006, at last the renovation is complete
