Director of Photography
I first came to St. Ives with my family as a young child and travelled
on the overnight train from Paddington Station. Even at that age
I knew that my future was to be a cameraman.
At eighteen, I started work in the film industry with Pathe News,
Soho, and travelled the world as a news cameraman. I carried a
Cannon camera and took many photographs and still use Cannon lenses
to this day, in my view the best in photography.
At thirty I went freelance as a film cameraman and worked with
many film stars along the way. Later I returned to news and filmed
all the Royal Family including the beautiful Princess Diana who
I loved filming as she made such good pictures.
I now live in the beautiful St. Ives and have been taken pictures
to express my love of the place.
St. Ives, in Cornwall, is a paradise for artists because of its
beautiful light. Its picturesque locations of cliffs, beaches
and harbour also make it ideal for holidaymakers.
St. Ives has good accommodation, restaurants plus many places
to visit including The Tate Gallery, The Barbara Hepworth Museum
and many other art galleries.
For children there's the clean Porthminster beach, or Porthmeor
which brings in the Atlantic waves for surfers. Or just relax,
sun bathe and dream.
My own photographic work is of high quality making it a perfect
gift for birthdays, weddings, Christmas or for your own home.
