A brilliant, live tribute band recreating the sounds of the 60’s “Mersey-beat” era.
YANNI - electric and acoustic guitar and vocals
Yanni is both proud and passionate about the Merseybeat sound - he was born in Liverpool in 1950, first played at the Cavern Club in 1964 and repeated this when he performed there again for the last three years at the International Beatle week festival. With a wealth of experience behind him, including writing and singing the theme tune to “Candid Camera” he contributes a genuine, reminiscent quality to the sound of the band
PAUL - Electric guitar/12 string guitar and vocals
Paul is probably one of the biggest fans of 60’s music, enjoying an accomplished and wide spanning career with appearances at the Hammersmith Odeon, The Cavern Club, and The Reading Festival with a Status Quo tribute band. He achieved chart success with some of his own self-penned songs and played alongside people such as Denny Laine (Moody Blues/Wings) and Peter Twiggy Wood(Pink Floyd). As well as his success on stage, Paul is the computer designer for their publicity material.
ALLEN - Bass guitar and vocals.
Allen is another huge fan of 60’s music and has supported such people as the Wurzels and the Searchers. He began playing guitar at age 11 and has a superb skill in reproducing the truly authentic sound of the Merseybeat era on his Hofner Bass, if you close your eyes and listen you return to that time and place. He also has a talent for fixing the band’s equipment and making a new guitar. He and Paul have worked together now for 15 years which shows in their work.
STEPHANE - Drums and vocals
Stephane has been playing drums since the mid 60’s and like Paul, has played many renowned London clubs appearing along- side the Who and Jimi Hendrix to name but a few. He has always been a passionate supporter of the Merseybeat era spurred on by his idol Ringo Starr and he brings a bubbling enthusiasm to the band. He has had a vast and varied career, including playing with many jazz
musicians, this being his other love of music.
