Solo performer who loves what he does best - play and sing country music.
Seeking a new venture and with ever rising travel costs Dave is now offering the “Dave Whitmore” one man show.
On tour with his patient and dedicated wife Lorraine who is Dave’s eyes, he can offer a good night for those seeking a full band sound but with limited funds. As well as using backing tracks, Dave plays great guitar and will include a small acoustic slot on his show.
He will also, when requested in advance, include 60’s and 70’s music in his set, thus making him suitable for private parties when the audience is mixed. For the traditional Country Clubs and Western Clubs, Dave gives a good choice of numbers and has a vast repertoire. He also includes some line dance numbers when requested, in his set if the audience is mixed. MORE INFORMATION - www.davewhitmore.com
Dave started playing guitar when he was 9 years of age after his father bought one as a present. Curiosity with music lead him to learn and subsequently play the clarinet but the guitar was to become his favourite.
At school he and a friend formed a duo, playing at school concerts etc. and when he left, he joined his first ever band called “Country Mixture” so even from this early age, Country Music was in his Boots.
Over the years, (Dave is now 45 ) he has worked with and fronted several bands with whom he has travelled up and down Britain guesting at clubs and festivals. It was on the way to one of these that the band suffered a terrible accident in which his wife was badly injured.
