A 38 Alcester SP 087574 Alcester Motor Company c.1912 to 1963 (owned by Guyvers of Stratford till c.1924); now replaced by County Council complex. World War 1 munitions made. Other garages in Alcester:-- early 1920’s a garage in yard of "Sunnyside" Evesham Road, moved to old “White Lion” opposite but c.1924 moved to site of old pound in Priory Road (SP 086575) where it was called “Fleet Garage” and is still in existence. Also in 1920’s a garage in yard of King’s premises in School Road (SF087576). Present garage in Evesham Road (SP 087573) started in 1930’s.

According to Directories, there were other garages in the area,e.g. in Bidford from 1908 and at Salford Priors from 1912.
