Providing Complementary Therapy in Parbold

Take a step forward into complementary healthcare

Complementary therapies can be an effective way of combating infections, depression and stress as they work on a physical and emotional level.

Through continuing training at Christie Hospital, Manchester, I can provide a range of therapies including, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and

Indian Head Massage. I have recently completed a course in Adapted Reflextherapy for the treatment of spinal pain, including pain caused by whiplash

injury. This therapy can ease the pain associated with spinal injury. Complementary therapies are becoming increasingly accepted as an important part

of a healthy life style as they can help to:

Strengthen the body’s immune system

Rid the body of toxins

Promote a feeling of well being

Encourage deep relaxation and a better quality of sleep

Why not set aside an hour or so for some quality therapy time in the comfortable calm surroundings of a specially adapted room in my home, or treat

someone special to a different gift this year by buying them a therapy gift voucher?

For full information about any of the above therapies, to book an appointment or to purchase a gift voucher please ring:

DOUGLAS DRAMA GROUP

TRANSPORT CUTS THREATEN PHIL’S LOVE LIFE. Phil always meets his new girlfriends on the top deck of the 49 Bus. Poor Phil, he’s an incurable romantic. That’s how it begins in DOUGLAS DRAMA GROUP’s forthcoming production of “CAUGHT ON THE HOP”, a fast-moving comedy written by

Derek Benfield, staged by kind permission of Samuel French Ltd.

Is it the real thing this time for Phil (again !) ? Will long-suffering best friend George rescue him

(again) ? Perhaps we should ask Maggie, after all, she is Phil’s WIFE. Is Mrs Puffet really Mrs Doubtfire in disguise ? Can Julie get any cheesier ?

Just how much Vodka can Greta drink ? Will Brasset dampen their ardour? Just who is Alan after ?

Come along and find out on 16, 17, 18 April at the W.I. Hall – curtain up 7.30

All tickets £5 available now from Sandra (462430), Alan (464426), Parbold Fruit and Veg (464050) or make a beeline for any member of the group

Tuesday 7th April.  All members of the Public are welcome to attend.

PCA CHAIRMAN’S COMMENTS I am sure for most people I need no introduction, but for those who do not know me my name is Sue Halton and at the recent P.C.A. Annual General meeting I was elected as Chairman.  I have lived in the village for over 30 year’s and have served as Chairman previously. I am very proud of our village hall especially since the improvements last year and hope everyone has taken the opportunity to see for themselves the new and improved facilities.  There is still work to be done and hopefully over the next few months we will be in position to tell you more. Watch this Space!!

Rail Travel Update

AVOID LEAVING YOUR CAR AT WIGAN NW for the next year if possible: the building of a new multi-storey car park at the station means

there will be a 15 minute walk to an alternative site.
