The Team - Directors' Biographies

Brian Eisenberg

Brian is gamma's Director of European Business Development.

Brian is an electrical engineering graduate of the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. He started his career at ICL and Siemens. Most recently, he was Director of Business Development for Softbank Europe, where he was involved in a 15 company, US $500m portfolio and which involved the set-up and monitoring of European JVs with Newscorp and Vivendi. He was also actively involved in developing HCR (UNIX software engineering) and then selling the company to Santa Cruz Organization. He repeated this success as MD of European Operations for Softway, which was sold to Microsoft.

Simon Glass

Simon is gamma's Founder/Director of Strategy and leads initiatives in Asia/Pacific and the Americas.

Simon holds both BA and MBA degrees from Cambridge University and was trained in Corporate Finance at London Business School. In 2003, he joined the University of Western Australia's Graduate School of Management as Lecturer of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management and has been appointed to the Advisory Board of UWA Press.

Simon has VC/corporate finance experience having worked for Apax Partners, Amadeus Capital Partners and Ernst & Young. In 2002, he co-led the project 'Globalisation & Recession in Venture Capital' for a Cambridge University think-tank. Simon spoke at the UK Business Incubation Conference and has contributed to the Financial Times. His previous experience is in media and entertainment, where he promoted events that generated US$12m+ at the box office across 40 countries - at 27, the Times newspaper profiled Simon as ‘an established producer’ in its Great British Hopes series.
